This is the worst movie I've ever seen in my life. Terrible! Until now that place had been occupied by Mars Attack !. Now dethroned When I thought such BS was over I found this hidden scene between the end of the end credits. I mean, if the ending was bad, those minutes far outweigh it Does the movie want to be a drama? fail. Comedy? Worse. A look at an idiotic society? fail And something that is classic is given: a movie with big stars is doomed to failure An absolute waste of time, directed by an idiot underestimating an audience that he thinks is equal to him Maybe this director wanted to emulate Quentin Tarantino with a bizarre touch. Not even close! |
A lots of peeps don't *get* satire I read a 'review' complaining that they didn't like the way Mark Rylance's character was speaking "I bet he doesn't speak like that when he is at home" Or maybe the 'review' was satire Who knows where satire begins and ends To quote the late Stephen Hawking "Satire in the known and unknown universes can best be viewed as an infinite cosmic loop with no beginning and no end." Profound stuff |
It was better than I expected and thus I was pleasantly surprised. It's nice to come across these once in a while. Worth the download. |
Meryl Streep's "nude" scene is obviously a body double. Current film rags confirm it. Anyway, if it weren't she'd have had no issues showing her face in it as well. But it's still funny as hell. |
I love Jennifer Lawrence... The film was just ok for me. I didn't walk away feeling like I waisted 2 hours. I guess that means something. |
Howdy and Happy New Year! 🎉 I'm with Guest-2838. One of the better movies I've seen this year. Wanted to add a few brief comments, especially since I almost passed on it. First, this is NOT a comedy in the traditional 'ha ha' sense of the word. It's a satire, and pokes fun at U.S. political institutions, greedy corporate Overlords and the 'hit like and subscribe' generation of the social-media-infused society we all live in. The Age of the 30 second sound-bite, fake news, conspiracy nut-jobs, political bickering, and so on. Satire uses humor to show that someone or something is foolish - and for that reason alone, some people won't like it - and some people won't get it. If you're looking for a film to compare it to, think less vulgar version of 'Borat Subsequent Movie Film' and toss in a pinch of Michael Bay's 1998 film 'Armageddon'. Put them both into a blender for 30 seconds and Don't Look Up. A/V is clean and clear. Subtitles are included. End credits begin at 2 hours and 7 minutes but let it roll until the very end for the final scenes. Rating it 9/10 for the funny if not-so-subtle self-inflicted beat-down. And remember, smash like and hit subscribe! And then run, duck and cover. Thanks, GalaxyRG. 🍷🍾 |
And another movie I will not come back from the grave to watch ... |
If it weren't for the silliness it could have been a half decent watch. Lots of actors/actresses came out of this project red faced and cringing i bet. |
Well I liked it seeing Meryl Streep naked in the hidden scene, was very good. |
