| harris truly is the most innocuous neoliberal shill, plus she checks the trifecta diversity boxes, so hurray for joe biden's "wise" "prescience" in this "decision", like so much else of his "visionary" political record... after all, birds of a feather flock together. so relieved that the blm movement forced biden to pick a women of color as opposed to rhode island's governor or some other more bland establishment white neoliberal. biden is now upstaged by his vp pick, who ironically, like so many who rise into establishment democrats, is thoroughly unimaginative and not courageous herself. another self-serving fraudulent prosecutor, who this time happens to be half black and indian. same thing with obama, a charismatic black man who historically was the first black american president but might as well have been a cautious and plodding white neoliberal without his arbitrary skin color. as being black, very bright yet overly cautious, was in the end all he really had going for him. no one really knows what the electoral impacts are, however it seems safe to say that the plus of kamala's melanin and gonadal stature will be canceled out by the negative of those things driving the misogynistic and racist/racialist rightwing. with knowing this most likely isn't the most receptive point of view north of trumpistan, with all that said though, let's "pray" the trumpians can pull this rabbit out of a hat. for the sake of people of every color, the left, the future of the "republic", and the implosion of the right (which if biden wins, will definitively prevent). am not saying anyone in swing states should vote for trump, just don't vote for biden. msnbc is more interesting to critique because it actually has some nuance in its propaganda and perspective, whereas fox is "spellbinding" in a gazing at traincrash crash kind of way, however boring to criticize because it's too on the nose in its profoundly complete reactionary distortion of "reality". the tv talking heads are for the most part all mostly classist shills who would never admit it, don't understand themselves, the world around them, or their perceived enemies. the irony of these times, this election, in fox etc using fallacious arguments to inadvertently advance the left, and msnbc/cnn/"newspapers" even when "correct" acting to inadvertently advance the right. that is, when/if "biden" wins, the right truly wins. when/if trump wins, the left truly wins. short term thinking is the bane of existence |
