avatarthanks for all the content to criticize! a day late for these news cycles yet am catching up. if america is "optimistically" at 25% in less than two months, than it will take 4 more months to get to three quarters of the population infected. so that is may, june, july, august, and by mid-september with then perhaps plus or minus a quarter of a million dead. maybe with the fear mitigation and social distancing it is below two hundred thousand if lucky. either way there is no way that the senate will pass this bill, and clearly fauci is playing the "good cop" in this situation even if his bedside manner is irrelevant because the powers that be need their economic engine, less the financial markets cannot sustain their artificial buoyancy by powell's radical intervention into the financial markets these last few months. even with that the economy will be a hollow version of "itself" and the global economy is going to face unprecedented headwinds, and no matter what regardless eventual market turmoil is inevitable. the thing that the "opposition" is discounting is that things getting worse, economically speaking, could actually be in trump's favor as long as there is some uptick before the election, even if after the election economic contagion escalates across the global economy. don't put anything past the trumpites that while orchestrating a market uptick some kind of realpolitik trade negotiation is finalized with china to put the icing on the cake of whatever madness campaign tactics they have up their sleeves. having a bad economic situation and polls going against trump could be a juxtapostion plus. admittedly, an unthinkable thing for the opposition to conjure into consciousness. then the senate will kick the can down the road, maybe more medical system funding and extending payments. to endlessly beat this dead horse which clearly won't be the last time to state, pelosi must know the reason they aren't doing testing is because that is actually the plan. why test people when the plan is herd immunity? of course they can't say this politically, and presumably the democrats know this so are just endlessly harping on "testing" much of which doesn't even function. pelosi says "it isn't about partisanship", she is clearly trying to outdo trump in the bullshit department with that and her refrigerators and chocolate ice creams. we will hit herd immunity before a vaccine. an eventual vaccine would be wonderful. russia hysteria...
