avatarhonestly this is just one opinion (and we all know what else we all have, bottled water toilet paper wars idiocy unite for space force!) however really seder's and other complacent liberals' dreams of defeating trump is quite unlikely, regardless of where the pandemic crisis and secondary economic infection goes. the fact is this pandemic has covered the reality that the financial system was ready to implode, and the fact it this was the proximate cause is the greatest asset trump has ever had (and look what he did with much less already.) underestimate him and his machine at your own demise. as biden idiotically optically positioned trump with his repeating that this is a "war"--while it is, stating it over and over in a debate against bernie sanders was a total gift to trump. the reality is trump another four years pretty much is going to happen, between bernie base either not showing up or leaving the presidential box unchecked, and bannon depressing the turnout, trump having the greatest excuse in the history of humanity, and biden being half a century of the democratic establishment (which lost last time, and any margin of loss given the situation is a MAJOR loss) vs the trump "revolution" on the right which at least acts like it cares about its base, and sort of actually does about trade, the single most important issue for the devasted fly over country low information formly middle class swing voter, coronavirus and biden is the final nail in the coffin and sadly that means trump is a slam-dunk for 2020. thank you dlc democrats once again for giving us trump yet again, as the "deplorables" couldn't do it alone. maybe I am wrong and we get another four years of the "future" which is the neo-liberal past, doubtful though.

avatarshouldn't have stated seder is a complacent liberal as a label, he is not only extremely entertaining but one of the shining voices of the left, who clearly works hard, so props to him. only meant that anyone on the left who thinks that this general election is anything but heavily tilted in trump's favor. especially considering if joe biden is the nominee. plus now this natural disaster or "act of science" pandemic war-footing setting covering up any "natural" economic implosion that was on the horizon anyway. well, let's just say it is a very uphill battle to beat the trump cult/machine with an emblem of the establishment from 1972 who will certainly buckle under trumpian pressure, yet didn't buckle with the joe-is-my-friend tactics of too-friendly and unfortunately not quick enough on his feet yet still noble-bernie.

avatarthanks. must admit that biden managed not to flop in his flow of establishment lies and defense of his corporate masters etc., while bernie performed adequately and tried to branch out from his stump speech he missed many opportunities, perhaps unduly avoiding risk which did a disservice to his stance. biggest mistake is that he should have hit back on biden's politicizing coronavirus in Italy as being "evidence" against medicare for all, attacked biden for incorrectly critizing Italy himself, and defended medicare for all by correctly stating that the pandemic outbreak in Italy took them by surprise early before they could try to "flatten" the curve and attack the logical fallacy that biden made with the fact that ANY major pandemic will adversely effect ANY medical system, but that medicare for all is better for all of the time whether in a pandemic or not, and that coronavirus does implore that medicare for all be instituted as what biden's excuse was that we will have a "one off" medicare for all for this crisis, yet after that well, die in the streets or in poverty folks! and he missed a few other opportunities that others and seder on the majority report went over. at least bernie slightly strengthened his electability argument even if it is very likely too late and he still didn't do it hard enough or clearly early enough. bernie is the much better candidate on policy and electability, and trump and his culture war personality cult is going to be extremely difficult to beat regardless of candidate, but the ruling class would rather have less chances of winning, prevent bernie from having power, and greatly increase the odds of a trump second term. cnn's "analysis", terry mcauliffe etc, was a joke as usual other than van jones, and while the moderators weren't egregiously bad they were clearly tilted in questioning. and how is gloria borger "chief" of anything let alone of being a "political" "analyst", she must be the most annoying person on cable news and that is a very high bar. don't think that biden taking college tuition will overtake the lack of enthusiasm of the bernie base and repulsion of fake biden's odious record and genuine unlikliability after the republican fox machine of destruction and all of its associate political critters gets through with him. be interesting to see what happens with this primary seeing that now even the new whitehouse guidelines are don't congregate with ten or more. this is a disaster on so many levels.
