| Super Rugby (NZ) Results Round 9 Highlanders 38-21 Hurricanes Highlanders thump Hurricanes to finish on a high No crowd, no problem for the Highlanders. In an entertaining and at times breathless finish to Super Rugby Aotearoa, the men from the Deep South put an exclamation mark on their promising season with an impressive second-half surge to put the Hurricanes away 38-21. After the sides went into the break tied at 14-14, the Highlanders found a different gear in the opening 10 minutes of the second half. Highlanders 38 (Ngatungane Punivai, Ash Dixon, Michael Collins, Mitch Hunt tries, penalty try, Josh Ioane 3 con, pen; Hunt con) bt Hurricanes 21 (Vince Aso, Reed Prinsep, Peter Umaga-Jensen tries, Jordie Barrett 3 con): HT: 14-14 https://torrentgalaxy.to/torrent/14090857/Super-Rugby-Aotearoa--NZ--Highlanders-Vs-Hurricanes-Highlights-MP4--coaster- Last edited by coaster on 2020-08-15 23:07:11 | |

| The Super Rugby Aotearoa match between the Blues and Crusaders in Auckland has been cancelled. The Government confirmed Friday that Auckland will remain in a Covid-19 alert level 3 lockdown for another 12 days. NZ Rugby has said the highly-anticipated SRA match, scheduled to be played at Eden Park on Sunday afternoon, can't go ahead. Cancelling the sold-out Blues-Crusaders match is expected to cost the Blues club hundreds of thousands of dollars in revenue from lost ticket sales after declaring this week that all 43,000 tickets had been sold. The Government’s decision to remain at alert level 3 not only denies Blues supporters an opportunity to see whether their team could end their season on a high by beating the Crusaders, who secured the SRA title by beating the Highlanders last weekend, it will ruin their hopes of farewelling recent recruit Beauden Barrett. | |

| Force 5-57 Reds DOMINANT PERFORMANCE BY THE REDS SEALS WIN OVER THE FORCE Reds inflicted a humiliating 57-5 defeat on the luckless Force in Queensland. The Brisbane-based outfit were full value for their bonus-point win after outscoring the Force eight tries to one in a totally one-sided contest. The result means the Reds provisionally move to the top of the Super Rugby AU standings, although that could change if the Brumbies beat the Waratahs in Canberra on Saturday. Western Force - Tries: Andrew Ready. Yellow cards: Kieran Longbottom. Queensland Reds - Tries: Filipo Daugunu (2), Fraser McReight, Tate McDermott (2), James O’Connor, Bryce Hegarty, Tuaina Taii Tualima. Conversions: James O’Connor (7). Penalties: James O’Connor. https://torrentgalaxy.to/torrent/14097040/Super-Rugby--AU--Force-Vs-Reds--R8-Highlights-MP4--coaster- ******************************************************************************************************* BRUMBIES TOO GOOD FOR WARATAHS IN WET CANBERRA The Brumbies produced a stunning second-half blitz to beat the Waratahs 38-11 at a rain-soaked GIO Stadium in Canberra. The win moves them back to the summit of the Super Rugby AU table, two points clear of Reds with a game in hand, while the Tahs remain in third after a fourth defeat in the competition. Brumbies - Tries: Ryan Lonergan, Andy Muirhead, Pete Samu (2), Tom Wright (2). Conversions: Ryan Lonergan (2), Bayley Kuenzle (2). Waratahs - Tries: Jack Dempsey. | NZ Rugby confirm North v South game to be played in Wellington - with no fans At least NZ Rugby has kept its sponsors and broadcaster Sky Sport happy as it prepares to play the North v South game in an empty stadium in Wellington on September 5. In a pre-Covid world, or under alert level 1, NZ Rugby could have held the North v South game at a jammed Eden Park in Auckland and reaped ticket sales of about $1 million. Under alert level 2 no spectators can attend, meaning the two teams will have to perform in front of 34,500 empty seats with just the All Blacks coaches, camera crews and a handful of journalists for company. So the North v South game is, in essence, something to keep all parties ticking over after the pandemic forced Super Rugby to be canned – which was replaced by Super Rugby Aotearoa – and the inbound tests against Wales and Scotland to be scrapped. | |

| FORCE GO DOWN FIGHTING AGAINST THE MIGHTY BRUMBIES The Western Force gave a good account of themselves but ultimately went down 31-14 to the Brumbies in Friday's Super Rugby AU clash in Canberra. Although the hosts were made to work hard for the win, they were deserved winners in the end, outscoring the visitors five tries to two. The last 10 minutes were all Brumbies as they went in search of a bonus point, which they secured when Muirhead dived onto the bouncing ball behind the Force’s try-line after a neat grubber kick from Irae Simone. Brumbies - Tries: Tom Wright, Tom Banks, Will Miller, Len Ikitau, Andy Muirhead. Conversions: Bayley Kuenzle (3). Western Force - Tries: Fergus Lee-Warner, Jono Lance. Conversions: Ian Prior (2). https://torrentgalaxy.to/torrent/14101721/Super-Rugby--AU--Brumbies-V-Force-Rd9-Highlights-MP4---coaster- ***************************************************************************************************** WARATAHS DEFEAT REBELS IN SYDNEY TO STAY IN CONTENTION FOR PLAY-OFF SPOT Although the Tahs moved four points clear of the Melbourne outfit on the table, a bonus-point victory over the winless Western Force next week will see Dave Wessels’ charges claim a finals berth. Rob Penney’s men were the better side in the opening half-hour of this game, deservedly going 14-3 ahead thanks to tries from Jake Gordon and Jack Dempsey, but they were pegged back via Matt Toomua and Isi Naisarani scores. Rebels - Tries: Matt Toomua, Marika Koroibete, Isi Naisarani (2). Conversions: Matt Toomua (3). Penalties: Matt Toomua (2). Yellow cards: Matt Philip. Waratahs - Tries: Jake Gordon, Jack Dempsey, Harry Johnson-Holmes, Joey Walton, Will Harrison. Conversions: Will Harrison (5). Penalties: Will Harrison. Yellow cards: Ned Hanigan. https://torrentgalaxy.to/torrent/14102503/Super-Rugby--AU--Rebels-Vs-Waratahs-Rd-9-Highlights-MP4---coaster- Last edited by coaster on 2020-08-29 21:39:57 | |

| Rebels score with 60 seconds left against Force to seal maiden finals spot They were pushed all the way to the end, but the Melbourne Rebels have qualified for their maiden Super Rugby finals series after a dramatic 34-30 win over the Western Force in Newcastle. Needing to win by four points to leapfrog ahead of the NSW Waratahs on 19 points, the Rebels left it until the final minutes of the game to win and break their 10-year finals duck. MELBOURNE REBELS 34 (Pincus, Hodge, Haylett-Petty, Eloff tries; To'omua 4 con; To'omua 2 pen) bt WESTERN FORCE 30 (Ready 2, Taefu, Stander tries; Prior 2 con; Prior 2 pen) https://torrentgalaxy.to/torrent/14109068/Super-Rugby--AU--Rebels-Vs-Force--Rd-10--Highlights-MP4---coaster- ******************************************************************************************** Reds land psychological blow ahead of Super Rugby AU finals by beating Brumbies It might not have had any bearing on the final standings, but the Queensland Reds have landed a psychological blow ahead of the knockout stages by defeating the Brumbies 26-7 in Brisbane. | North v South, let's turn it into a three match Series I wish it was a three-game series,” Savea said, after South’s last-gasp 38-35 victory at Sky Stadium on Saturday night. Hopefully whoever is in charge can make this game happen every year and turn it into a State of Origin series. Pretty gutted with the loss and it would have been awesome to play again next week and redeem ourselves. Definitely, North v South, man, make it a fixture.” https://torrentgalaxy.to/torrent/14109076/NZ-Rugby-North-vs-South-2020--Highlights-Mp4-coaster- Last edited by coaster on 2020-09-06 00:34:29 | |

| The Brumbies have won the 2020 Super Rugby AU title Sixteen years after the Brumbies beat the Crusaders in the 2004 Super Rugby final, the Canberra-based side are the kings of Australian rugby once more after downing an injury-hit and ill-disciplined Queensland Reds 28-23 at GIO Stadium. Brumbies 28 (tries Fainga'a, Murihead, Banks; con Lolesio 2; pen Lolesio 1; drop goal Lolesio 1) bt Reds 23 (tries Wilson, Blyth; con O'Connor 2; pen O'Connor 2) https://torrentgalaxy.to/torrent/14120930/Super-Rugby-AU--Brumbies-Vs-Reds-Grand-Final-Highlights Last edited by coaster on 2020-09-19 23:22:01 | |

| The Rugby Championship 2020 fixtures Round One – Saturday 7 November 2020 Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane Argentina v South Africa Australia v New Zealand Round Two – Saturday 14 November Bankwest Stadium, Sydney New Zealand v Argentina South Africa v Australia Round Three – Saturday 21 November ANZ Stadium, Sydney New Zealand v South Africa Australia v Argentina Round Four – Saturday 28 November McDonald Jones Stadium, Newcastle Argentina v Australia South Africa v New Zealand Round Five – Saturday 5 December Bankwest Stadium, Sydney Argentina v New Zealand Australia v South Africa Round Six – Saturday 12 December ANZ Stadium, Sydney South Africa v Argentina Australia v New Zealand coasters Foot note : good to see this back again , But the draw for teams playing close to xmas, means they will be in Isolation over Xmas, which will probably mean some of the top players won`t attend and prefer to stay home with family's over Xmas. Good to see Zanzaar stuff this up again and by the looks of it Aussie backing the draw as well. So the All Blacks will be out to make a statement with the two tests to be play in NZ in October , If they win the two tests in NZ it makes the Bledisloe out of contention for the Aussies .as a draw is not enough to claim the Cup ,being a 4 test series . Which brings me back to the Championship series to be play in Australia ,If the ABs retain the Bledisloe in NZ ,i Think you will find a lot of top Players won`t attend Championship series , they will stay home so they can have Xmas with there Family's instead of being locked up in a Hotel !! Just my Opinion. | |

| South Africa set to send its four strongest franchises to Europe to play in Pro16 competition The rugby union world is about to get messy - and for once it doesn’t necessarily involve Australia. South Africa are set to up sticks and abandon their Super roots with a move to the other side of the world. NZ&Australia’s 25-year association with South African Super Rugby clubs will almost certainly end later on Tuesday when the general council of SA Rugby meets to vote on whether to send its four strongest franchises north into what will become the European Pro16 competition. After threatening for so long to switch its provincial focus from SANZAAR to Europe, South Africa finally is about to do the deed, though it has taken nothing less than a global pandemic to bring about this long-predicted outcome. Certainly within South African rugby circles it is regarded as an open secret that the general council will vote to send the Sharks, Stormers, Bulls and Lions into the Pro16 As The Sunday Times pointed out, there is also considerable disgruntlement within the general rugby population in South Africa. “The traditionalists will miss regular contact with New Zealand teams,” the newspaper pointed on the weekend. Coasters Footnote: It has been reported widely in NZ that the Kiwis are at fault for the split What a load of crap ,SA has been talking about joining the Pro 16 for a number of years , They just needed a excuse to put there plans into action Also they say they are still committed to the Tri nations test series , I would put it to them ant good enough to play in the super Rugby comp go play your Tests with the northern Hemisphere teams ,and tell them see you at the World Cup. Just my Opinion(coaster) . | |
