| One problem we as staff always had was,does the person we're considering for a mod job actually want the position? Kinda frustrating when you get someone all picked out, you tell them the plan, and they say they don't want it. This thread does many positive things to help us out, letting us know if someone is interested is one of them. It also lets us know some of the possible applicant's attributes,some of which we may not have known except for this. Alien has the right idea........you do NOT ask for a staff job. But this thread makes it so we're asking YOU if you want one. I have a few years experience at this staff thing. And I consider this thread a breakthrough in member/staff communication. But don't approach this thread as begging to be picked. Just consider it as a resume that we will keep on file. And, should the staff spot come up, we now have solid written statements on who's accomplished what. Just my two cents, people. I may be wrong but I may be right (Billy Joel) | |

| Do You Have any previous experience - not really, but I've been around torrents since I was 16 roughly~ Specific Knowledge - most of my knowledge torrent wise relates to xxx torrents (ie: sketchy sites vs non-sketch sites) Technical abilities/knowledge - don't really have much of that People Skills - i'm pretty good socialising with people, lurk in a few different chats Gift of the Gab - I'd say I have it most of the time Maybe you just love forums - well, I have been on another torrent forum for quite awhile (on and off however-TPB's) How much time you have to spare - most of the time off work I'm on my computer doing stuff Basically any relevent info you can think of! - have a pretty good knowledge of the user end of torrenting if it counts :-@ (Hopefully it's okay to just use the format given :D ) | |

|  happy to join the ranks of you wonderful people if there's ever a free spot, don't have a great deal of tech skills to offer, but I'm pretty savvy, have been on several sites over the last 5 years or so, my main contributions consist of friendly conversation and moral support, but I'm also good at finding torrents/videos that are hard to locate. I have a very large video collection including a lot of stuff from the 70' through to today, I was on the original KAT before it was neutered, I am on the new Katcr, TPB, 1337x, and of course here :-*. I have pretty good people skills as I have owned and run several of my own business' throughout the years (retired now due to 3 kinds of spinal disease) and they all required great people skills. I think in general - my people skills speak for themselves, atm I'm pretty flat out working on my torrent upload series, but please keep me in mind in the future :-* though this isn't the only site I upload to, the fact that you guys are generally wonderful people - it is the one site I'd be happy to be part of, I'm pretty loyal to my original home KAT but there's not really ever any advancement (but I still love them, they are a great site and mostly great people) and TPB despite ALL the help I have given them through the years has NEVER made me feel welcome, and even though I once backed up there database (temporarily), was never even given a thank you, I've tried to help them in there forum with site problems and moral support when their server kept buggering up for over a year, and as merely an uploader people often respond badly to my advice/moral support etc. because in their opinion.... I have no official standing and therefor - should not only be ignored, but disrespected too, don't get me wrong I don't expect rewards for my help, as I volunteer it, but it's nice to be given a thank you when you help out, and here every time I help in even the slightest way, or just for being fun, it is usually acknowledged, the fact that I have been given multiple status upgrades in a short period of time is absolutely wonderful, and lately has made me feel like I should be doing more for TGx where I can, that's why I try to help out with torrent requests now (which I only ever used to do for my personal VIP viewers) - admittedly I do often help with torrent requests on 1337x CHAT when I'm online there, but it's not something I offer the general populous there. Mostly because there are usually enough other people there that redirect people to torrents when needed, however.... I prefer to download the requested file, turn it into a great quality .avi file which is much more compatible to most pc's/phones/tablets/TV's, and most USB devices then upload it to my seedboxes and then upload it to the site in question, but when I add something to my seedboxes, it's not a temporary seed, it's for as many years as I possibly can, this is why I am nearly ready for my 3rd seedbox, I've never asked anyone for donations, I believe that the torrent world was made to be free, and regardless of my personal expense I do not expect anything back, I would offer a seeding service to people but I already have nearly 2.5TB of torrents in my seedboxes , and if I was to offer that service, the expense would become unsustainable, however.... if it was to help TGX I would be happy to offer a temporary seed service in the near future (when I get my 3rd seedbox) . Because like I said... I appreciate the status acknowledgement you have given me already - and I feel I owe this site (it's nice to be noticed once in a while :love so thank you TGx). If there is ever anything I can do to help this site - it would be my honor :-*------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I do have to update this today, as KAT just made me a verified uploader which is awesome (it's something I've been hoping for - for a a while now). But doesn't in any way change where I stand with this post. | Well I'm new to this site but have been in the torrenting world for 3 years now, I was a mod on Torrenting.com till the bullshit started...he said she said...lets stick people in the back stuff so I stopped doing it. I am staff on another site currently as well as an uploader and editor, I try to get along with everyone, but you can't please everyone hahahah. I'm retired and have nothing but time on my hands when I'm not building muscle cars for various clients, but I have the time and the patience to deal with people as a mod, knowledge of uploading and torrent editing.
