8. Save the torrent file from the rtorrent client
9. Upload that torrent file to the Deluge feralhosting client
10. Delete the torrent from rtorrent - without erasing the data
Or

instead of using the torrent client pre-made folders (especially if using multiple clients); create a folder(s) outside of the torrent client folder tree, then set the torrent client(s) to look for that folder

this is also helpful if for some reason you need to reinstall or uninstall the torrent client and would need to move the files to prevent possible deletion

also, schuylang:_trusted_uploader::_male::_sitelover::_junkie:, where are vol 2 & 3 of the screwball classics; 1080p preferably

Thanks for the information. For vol 2 & 3, I would need to buy them first. Maybe when I have more money.

Is it possible to transfer a file from Ferals Deluge webUI client onto my own machine? For the life of me I can't figure a way to do it :_facepalm

Edit: I know I can transfer the file to ruTorrent and get it that way, but I'm wanting to know if it's possible without doing that.

Personally I'd just use FTP to download it - I dont think you can download files to your PC via Deluge.

That's what I thought, but had to ask on the off chance someone had come up with something..

Thanks battlestar :_:)

Edit: Took your advice battlestar, Filezilla and working a treat once I eventually found where the files are :_B)

electronic homeopathy:

try slapping the side of it until it clears up;

try applying aluminum foil with your right arm perpendicular to logic and standing on the tip toes of your left foot;

if that does not fix it, then get a new one and set it on top of the old one

update / uninstall and reinstall ???

from what I've read and the less I understood, get_magic_quotes_gpc has been phased out of PHP which is causing the problem, so updating PHP can *solve the issue in PHP (and assuming updating rtorrent would update its PHP segment)

but if the problem is creating the torrent file and nothing else, than there are many ways of creating a torrent file outside of rtorrent; for instance utorrent or torrent editor.  github has an online torrent creator (that i had to try out) that worked well https://kimbatt.github.io/torrent-creator/

I did uninstall and reinstall it, and updated it after, still same problem, I guess I'm just gonna have to use qBit to create it, then upload it after, it's another step I'd rather not do tho.

Thanks for trying, appreciate it

How much access do you have ?
get_magic_quotes_gpc() was removed in PHP8.
So either you need to downgrade php, or upgrade ruTorrent.
Looking at the ruTorrent code on github, those references seem to have been fixed around March 2020.

Does anyone know how to change my server from Raid1 to Raid0?

The server is automatically set up by Scaleway to RAID1 with mdadm, and there's no choice during installation in Scaleway console area or during set up

So i was looking around a bit on the forum here and figured out that apparently many people seed their torrents on some online seedbox service

The name that popped up the most was feralhosting so i took a look at it and im starting to consider getting a subscription from there but i have a few questions first...

First of all is feralhosting actually good and to be trusted? i assume it is as i think what i read was posted pretty recently with even miok said he/she was using it.

Now the second and probably most important question is... do these seedbox services provide not only hard-drive space for seeding but also multiple seeds? if its just another place to store your torrents other than on your own drive i dont see any point as i own a 2tb ssd and 8tb mechanical hard-drive for my torrents

Feral hosting has always treated me very well over the years. I have no complaints.

A seedbox will give you only one seed but the benefit is that it will have much greater speed than seeding it locally. That and the extra benefit of having your torrents seeded 24/7 (even when your local device is switched of) is well worth the investment for people who are serious about uploading.

I see... I might consider it, though I don't know if it'll be worth it as I would only be paying for the added speed. It's pretty expensive starting at 10£ for only 1tb of space.

Can you maybe give me an idea of how fast the torrents are being seeded from Feral hosting? From what i can see then a torrent I just uploaded is running at about 3-4 megabytes a second.

Oh and just to be sure their domain is "feralhosting.com" right?

I have seen my files seed as fast as 50mg up and down. The slowest part of the whole operation if ftp'ing the files to and from the server.

Thanks I'll definetely consider it now and the file transferring speed isn't really a problem for me anyways.
I'm used to my files taking a while to transfer from one drive to another and it takes even longer to create a torrent from them.

8 months as a feral seedbox owner and don't have anything bad to say.

Great customer support and really worth the money, also good for seeding rare stuff or just bump up the seeding.
