| Can y'all please help with my IMDB Top 250 movies torrent? https://torrentgalaxy.mx/torrent/16233645/IMDB-Top-250---2024-Edition---1080p-BluRay-eSubs-jZQ It is 857GB. It's on a seedbox. Download speed varies a lot for some reason. Right now it is 50 MiB/s. The torrent has been up for 50 hours. It has 136 peers. 23 people have completed downloading the torrent. NONE OF THEM ARE SEEDING. My seedbox is the *only* seed. I don't know how it can be done, but if there is a way for me to upload the torrent directly to your seedbox, tell me how. The torrent is running in rutorrent on the seedbox. Is there a way that I can limit downloading to just YOU, so you get all the bandwidth and can complete the torrent relatively quickly? Clicking around the rutorrent UI, apparently, I can edit the torrent. Would it work, for me to (temporarily) remove all of the trackers used to create the torrent, add a different tracker, and tell YOU what the new tracker is so only you can download the torrent? Maybe that's dumb. I don't know how this stuff works. Ā My upload speed from home is mediocre. I used WinSCP to get the torrent to my seedbox. I think it took about 3 days. | I think it's best to just let it seed in your seedbox at unlimited speed. Those the add it to their seedbox/s will be able to get it at the best your seedbox will go. Others downloading it should also get seeded from those new seedbox/s and that as far as I'm aware would actually make it go faster. The more peers/seeds the faster a torrent will go. Your seedbox with it's original trackers is the best way to leave it overall. Cheers. | |

| OK, thanks. 8 days after uploading the torrent, there are 3 seeds and 217 peers. I am two of the seeds (seedbox and my home PC). The third seed is probably the nice person who responded to my request for help. TG says 39 people have completed the torrent. Apparently NONE are seeding. I don't get it. Why don't they seed? Do some people have to pay for uploading bandwidth? Are they running Plex servers and that strains their upload speed? The seedbox shows my ratio = 45. 35TB uploaded. Sigh. | The problem you are having is the size of the torrent. With this size of torrent people will not download the whole thing as it will occupy too much of there hard disk space, so they will be picking the items they want to see, but this will not give you seeds for the whole torrent even though some parts might be well seeded. I have divided large collections into 4 or 5 parts, rolling out the next part as each gets sufficiently seeded. I thought it would take too long for people to download the collections in one lump, so it would take too long to get seeders. This time I was in a hurry because I need my 1TB seedbox cleared for Christmas torrents. If they don't have space for one 857GB torrent, they won't have room for 4 torrents of 215GB each, right? Maybe SOMEONE ELSE besides Soup could help seed it? I might delete the torrent from TG (so it doesn't get *more* peers) then release it in 4-5 parts after Christmas. Good idea? | |

| It's entirely up to you, it is too large in my opinion, Don't forget some people just have a laptop with SSD storage so 850Gb might be twice the size of their storage. I'd keep the package under 100Gb myself. But like RB says, people who know how will tick which ones they want and then seed their handful. BTW, I have it seedboxed 100% and currently uploading at 36MiB/s had it since I saw your first message and will keep it seeding until next week.
